HydroSweep Deep Water Multibeam Echosounders
Teledyne Marine’s SeaBat and HydroSweep multibeam echosounders support hydrographic surveying and seabed mapping across a range of water depths. The SeaBat D100 covers surveys from 10 to 3,000 m, the HydroSweep MD/30 reaches 7,000 m, and the HydroSweep DS supports full-ocean-depth mapping to 11,000 m. Available data products and beam configurations vary by system.
- SeaBat D100: Compact multibeam echosounder designed for surveys from 10 to 3,000 m. Operating at 44–60 kHz, it offers configurable beam widths, up to 1,024 soundings per ping, and bathymetry, sidescan, snippets backscatter, and water-column data. It supports permanent installation, deployment on vessels of opportunity, and integration with uncrewed surface vessels.
- HydroSweep MD/30: Multibeam echosounder for seabed mapping to 7,000 m. Operating at 24–30 kHz, it acquires bathymetry, water-column backscatter, seabed snippets backscatter, and sidescan backscatter. Active beam steering and up to four-times multi-ping operation help compensate for vessel motion and maintain survey coverage at higher vessel speeds.
- HydroSweep DS: Deep-water multibeam echosounder for seabed mapping from 10 to 11,000 m. Operating at 14–16 kHz, it acquires bathymetry, water-column data, snippets backscatter, and sidescan data. The system offers several beam-width configurations, two-times multi-ping operation, and up to 960 soundings per ping.
