Flat Precision Windows

Knight Optical’s meticulously crafted BK7-grade optical windows are engineered for reliability in subsea and oceanographic environments. Designed for integration into flat port viewports and optical housings, these components feature ultra-flat, highly parallel surfaces that minimize beam deviation and distortion.

Offering both uncoated and AR-coated options, they support applications ranging from low-power lasers to imaging in the visible, near-infrared (450–900nm), and telecom wavelengths (1050–1700nm). In-house metrology and quality assurance ensure every unit meets stringent specifications for flatness, parallelism, and surface integrity.

These windows can be tailored with custom AR, beamsplitter, or mirror coatings to match application-specific spectral demands. Available in stock diameters ranging from 2 mm to 300 mm+, Knight Optical can rapidly resize and edge stock units to fit bespoke geometries, including rectangular and square apertures.

Mounting options are available for ease of system integration, and materials beyond N-BK7 are also offered—such as Borosilicate, UV Fused Silica, Sapphire, and Germanium—for specialized performance in extreme pressure and temperature conditions.
