IQ HV is the distributed Battery Management System (BMS) offering within the GuardIon-IQ™ platform. Its architecture combines a V04307 central controller, multiple V04304 module controllers, and a V07042 high-voltage monitor. The V04307 manages one or more series strings and coordinates pack-level communications, protection, current sensing, and contactor control. GuardIon-IQ™ provides the wider modular platform for integrated and distributed systems spanning 12 V to 1,500 V.
The distributed V04304 controllers measure individual cell voltages and temperatures while providing balancing, heater control, and redundant protection inside each module. The V07042 adds measurement of up to three high-voltage nodes at levels reaching 1,500 V, together with insulation monitoring and ground fault detection. Measurements and protection states are passed to the central controller over CAN. Fault information is shared through the Safety Disable Loop, enabling the system to open its contactors and enter a safe state when a critical fault occurs.
