The SS538 is a 200 kHz broadband stainless steel underwater transducer with excellent sensitivity and a Q of 2. It can be chirped with a long pulse over a wide-frequency band, and users with adjustable-frequency echosounders can regulate the operating frequency and tailor the beamwidth to specific survey conditions.
The transducer is ideal for high-accuracy shallow-water survey applications, including in rivers, harbors and estuaries. With a matching internal transformer, the unit's impedance can be tailored to specific customer requirements.
