200m Mini Altimeter Kit Smart™ Sensor
The Airmar 200m Mini Altimeter Kit Smart™ Sensor is specially designed to provide underwater robotic platforms such as AUVs and ROVs with an accurate capability for measuring height above the sea floor and underwater structures. Available in either 170 kHz or 200 kHz frequencies, the kit consists of a compact transceiver board and a separate 1000 metre-rated underwater transducer, and an optional water temperature sensor can also be provided.
The low-power subsea altimeter can be programmed to operate in manual or fully automatic sounding modes. In full auto mode, sounding rate is variable with depth, while manual mode allows a configurable rate of up to 10 times per second.
