Teledyne Marine Vehicles, a division of Teledyne Marine, has significantly expanded its direct-to-customer service and support capabilities across the United Kingdom.
This strategic investment includes the establishment of new repair facilities in Fareham, which are co-located with Teledyne Raymarine. These new facilities will support the company’s full portfolio of unmanned underwater vehicles, specifically including Teledyne Gavia Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), Teledyne Webb Research’s Slocum gliders, and APEX profiling floats. This new location augments the existing Slocum glider facility in Southampton, which is housed at the National Oceanographic Center.
To enhance assistance for the Royal Navy and other UK customers, Teledyne has also brought on dedicated service staff for the Raymarine Centre in Fareham, along with field support personnel based in Plymouth. This staffing ensures responsive expert assistance and provides the capability for Teledyne field staff to forward deploy with users as needed.
Brian Maguire, General Manager of Teledyne Marine Vehicles, commented, “This expansion is a reflection of our long-term commitment to the UK market. By investing in local infrastructure and talent, we’re enhancing our ability to support customers directly and efficiently, while also deepening our engagement with the scientific and military communities that rely on our technologies.”
Teledyne’s overall investment in the UK is intended to provide customers with faster turnaround times, better service accessibility, and deeper technical engagement.
