Applied Acoustics has supplied seismic survey equipment to T.T. Surveys, a specialist in site surveys and offshore seismic operations, since 2018.
By deploying Applied Acoustics’ submersible GNSS systems, sound sources, and sparkers, T.T. Surveys has advanced its ability to deliver ultra high-resolution (UHR) seismic datasets for UXO clearance, offshore renewables, and engineering projects.
Enhancing Offshore Survey Capabilities
T.T. Surveys has adapted to the increasing demand for higher-resolution offshore engineering and wind farm surveys. The company now achieves seabed mapping to a vertical resolution of less than 30 cm, supporting detailed assessments of seabed strata.
To meet these requirements, T.T. Surveys uses Applied Acoustics’ Dura-Spark UHD 400 alongside multichannel hydrophone arrays. This configuration provides ultra high-resolution multi-tip sparker arrays and RTK positioning, enabling the acquisition of the required seismic datasets.
Integrated 2D and 3D Survey Systems
The company also specializes in 3D acquisition solutions. By coupling 101G MiniPod Submersible GNSS systems with multichannel UHR streamer arrays, T.T. Surveys has positioned itself as a provider of both 2D and 3D UHR marine surveys. This capability allows the development of source and streamer arrays tailored to project-specific needs, from engineering surveys to site investigations and exploration work.
