Record Seawork 2026 Showcases Marine Sector Strength

Seawork 2026 has concluded with record-breaking figures and widespread industry acclaim, confirming the event’s position as the essential annual gathering for the international commercial marine and workboat sector.

Despite the occasional shower that did nothing to dampen proceedings, a record 7,972 visitors and 522 exhibitors came together across three days at Mayflower Park, Southampton — proof, if any were needed, that marine operations professionals are not easily deterred by a spot of British weather.

Delegates from over 60 countries were represented at the show, with significant international delegations from the Netherlands, Italy and Poland adding a strongly global dimension to what is already Europe’s largest on-water commercial marine exhibition.

Central to the character and credibility of Seawork is its long-standing association with the key bodies that represent the industry at every level. The Workboat Association once again played a prominent role, hosting its Pavilion at the heart of the exhibition floor and providing a focal point for commercial operators, owners, and builders. The UK Harbourmasters’ Association maintained its valued presence, reflecting the importance of the port and harbour community to the event’s audience. These enduring partnerships are a testament to Seawork’s role not merely as a trade show, but as the meeting place for the sector — where policy, practice, and procurement come together.

International delegations brought fresh perspectives and new connections to this year’s show, with buyers and decision-makers from across Europe and beyond engaging directly with exhibitors and the extensive conference and demonstration programme.
