Through OST, the company is highlighting how its Intelligent Marine Assistance System (IMAS) solution combines sensor data, real-time monitoring, and AI-powered guidance to reduce wave impacts, lower emissions, and assist vessel crews in making more informed decisions at sea.

Proven in challenging maritime environments, IMAS has logged over 486,000 nautical miles, 30,000+ voyages, and more than 43,000 operating hours. It is designed for use on a range of commercial vessels, including new builds and retrofitted fleets.

Integrated Onboard Hardware & Software

IMAS Control Unit

The IMAS system is hosted by a rugged IP67-rated central computing unit that gathers data from multiple sources via NMEA 2000, and outputs to compatible multi-function displays as well as uploading all data to the IMAS Cloud platform through a cellular network or the vessel’s own modem.

One or more IMU Sensor Units, featuring integrated accelerometers, dual gyroscopes, and magnetometers, connect to the Control Unit to collect precise vessel motion data.

The onboard software, IMAS Helm, provides AI-powered guidance to improve vessel safety and efficiency, with real-time speed and route recommendations.

Fleet Monitoring & Performance Analytics

IMAS Console is a cloud-based fleet management and analytics platform providing owners, operators, and managers with tools for real-time monitoring and data-driven decision-making.

Live tracking of voyages is presented on an interactive map with second-by-second overlays of key vessel data including speed, fuel usage, impacts, and environmental conditions. Automatically generated reports offer insights into trip data and fleet performance over customizable time periods.

Speed & Route Optimization Features

IMAS Speed Guidance uses real-time vessel motion, sea, weather, and engine data to recommend optimal safe or fuel-efficient speeds. IMAS Route Guidance calculates fuel-optimized routes based on start and destination points, vessel details, and start time, adapting to changing conditions during the voyage.

Vessel Motion Tracking & Impact Alerts

Multiple high-precision IMU Sensor Units monitor vessel impacts and vibrations in real time, with configurable alerts when thresholds are exceeded, supporting operational safety and maintenance planning.
