MostaTech, an innovative developer and manufacturer of ultra-low-SWaP fiber optic gyroscopes (FOG), will showcase its compact inertial sensors at INTERGEO 2025, October 7–9 in Frankfurt, Germany, at Stand 0H113.
These high-precision sensors are designed for space- and layout-constrained applications, including inertial navigation systems (INS) for UUVs, USVs, and ROVs, as well as UAV gimbal and camera stabilization.
Thumb-Sized Fiber Optic Gyros
MostaTech will showcase its VG191A and VG091A-4LN gyros at INTERGEO, combining ultra-compact design with high-performance capabilities. The VG191A measures just 24mm in diameter and 40mm in length, offering low noise performance of 0.015 °/√h ARW and 2 °/h bias stability, while the slightly longer VG091A-4LN, at 52mm, delivers exceptional performance of 0.01 °/√h ARW and 1 °/h bias stability.
Both gyros are housed in μ-metal for enhanced magnetic immunity, integrate optics and electronics, and require only 0.5W for operation. Their cylindrical design makes them ideal for pipeline inspection, underground utility mapping, borehole surveying, and other applications.
Three-Axis Fiber Optic Gyro with High-Speed Output
The G321M is an advanced three-axis FOG designed to meet the industry’s demand for compact, high-performance inertial sensors. Measuring 53 x 53 x 36mm, it offers an 8kHz data output rate and features three single-axis FOGs along with a fully integrated three-channel ADC board with an RS422 interface
The G321M’s low noise performance features a bias stability of 1°/h and an ARW of 0.025°/√h. Enhanced with built-in magnetic shielding, it ensures reliable operation in environments with high magnetic interference. Despite its robust capabilities, the G321M remains lightweight at 145 grams and consumes only 2W of power.
MostaTech will additionally showcase:
- VG221: One of the smallest FOGs available, measuring ∅33 x 12mm, weighing just 15 grams, and consuming only 0.3W. It sets a new industry benchmark for SWaP (size, weight, and power).
- U121D and U123D IMUs: SWaP-optimized inertial measurement units combining miniature FOGs with MEMS accelerometers, offering low noise, high bias stability, and enhanced magnetic shielding for reliable performance in challenging environments.
