Oceanographic Sensors

Hybrid CTD

Based on our patented conductivity sensing technology and cutting-edge solid state electronics and signal processing, our Hybrid CTD sensor delivers highly accurate measurement capabilities all the way down to 11,000 meters. The state-of-the-art instrument combines the advantages of electrode and inductive sensing techniques in a reduced size, weight and power footprint, and also incorporates high-performance and fully calibrated temperature and pressure sensors.

In addition to a more compact design and improved precision, this new technology also allows the sensor to be free-flushed with no pump required for the majority of applications.

The Hybrid CTD offers a rich suite of features that is unparalleled by any other deep-sea solution on the market. High-speed sampling capabilities enable the user to select rates of up to 25 Hz, and a variety of third-party sensors can be integrated via A/D and serial interfaces. Data can be output via USB, RS-232 or RS-485, and can also be transmitted via a wire line using commercially available telemetry systems.

The rugged sensor can be provided in aluminum, stainless steel or titanium housings to meet different depth and environmental requirements. Specialized custom and OEM variants are also available.

UL-CTD

The ultra-low-power variant of our Hybrid CTD provides the same industry-leading precision and full ocean depth performance with a power draw of just 50 mW. It can be user-programmed to sample at either 1 or 2 Hz.Available with aluminum, stainless steel or titanium housings, the sensor’s compact size and low power consumption make it ideal for integration into a wide variety of platforms, including underwater vehicles, gliders and towed arrays.

AUV CTD

The AUV CTD is specifically designed for integration with autonomous marine vehicles. Its hybrid conductivity cell delivers closed field precision without a pump, providing silent, efficient operation with sampling rates up to 32 Hz and internal data storage for independent missions.

Built in a rugged Delrin housing with high speed thermistors and precision pressure sensing, the AUV CTD ensures accurate salinity and depth measurements in demanding subsea environments. Its configurable design, rapid calibration turnaround, and multiple mounting options make it ideal for AUVs, ROVs, gliders, floats, and profiling systems.

Conductivity & Temperature Sensor

Our Ocean CT sensor provides a cost-effective solution for reliable conductivity and temperature measurement at depths of down to 500 meters. Combining an inductive conductivity cell and an industry-standard temperature thermistor, it offers high sensitivity and allows for free-flushing.

The sensor provides continuous sampling at 2 Hz, and outputs conductivity, temperature and salinity data via CMOS, RS-485, or RS-232 interfaces. All units are fully calibrated in our ISO-17025-certified laboratory.

Calibration & Consulting Services

We own and operate a full ocean depth CTD sensor calibration lab located on the East Coast of the US, offering industry-leading accuracy and fast turnaround times, and calibration for both our own and third-party sensors.
