D-2 Inc. is set to showcase its new AUV CTD and advanced Titanium Ocean CTD at Oceans 2025 Chicago, Booth 311 in Festival Hall B.
The AUV CTD is built to fit easily into any glider, profiler, or autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), featuring a free-flowing, completely silent, and low-power design.
The sensor incorporates the Ocean CTD in a newly packaged design that can be easily fitted into existing vehicle mounts. It is equipped with the company’s new hybrid conductivity cell, providing closed-field precision without the need for a pump.
The absence of a pump makes the CTD silent and reduces power draw. Standard models operate in CTD mode with a high-speed 32 Hz sample rate and internal memory.
D-2 also offers Ultra Low Power CTDs that draw only 4 mA and provide a 2 Hz sample rate. These units deliver salinity, pressure, and temperature data in easy-to-integrate housings for any AUV platform. Built with a Delrin housing and an oil-filled conductivity cell, the CTDs are extremely rugged. They are engineered for deployment at any depth on Earth, delivering precision where it matters most.
D-2 CTDs provide exceptional accuracy, are rugged and reliable, and now offer seamless integration across versatile applications. With D-2’s dedicated support and continuous innovation, the expert team ensures smooth deployment and long-term success.
Jake Soares, Sales Manager, and Dean Fougere, Vice President and Director of Oceanography, will be in attendance at Oceans 2025. The company has made significant advancements in its CTD technology over the past year, with its latest developments on display at the event.
