The Argos 500 is a cutting-edge forward looking sonar system that is designed to overcome the limitations faced by traditional 2D technologies and provide marine vessels with a powerful navigation and situational awareness capability that generates real-time true 3D images of the waters ahead.
Intended for mid-sized vessels ranging from 30 to 50+ metres, Argos 500 can detect objects and hazards in the water column at ranges of up to 500 metres, and can operate reliably at speeds of up to 20 knots. The system can be integrated with a wide variety of vessels using a fixed installation, or via a hoist or pole mount installation. The unit features a rugged stainless steel housing that protects the internal electronics from harsh conditions, as well as tough-marine-grade urethane for the transmit and receive arrays.
