The Phantom 2 UUV/AUV from Dynautics is a modular Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) that provides a low-impact, non-invasive, and cost-effective approach to offshore and subsea activities. Based on Dynautics’ established autopilot and subsea control technologies, the system can be scaled to accommodate different payload requirements. 3D modelling, digital twin creation, and simulation are used to tailor the design to user specifications, helping to reduce development risk and time to market.
The Phantom 2 UUV/AUV is developed using Dynautics’ AUV Simulator technology to support vehicle design and improve efficiency. Positioning is achieved through ultrasound communication and/or dead reckoning, and Dynamic Positioning (DP) solutions enable precise station keeping. The vehicle design and supporting technologies can be adapted to align with specific mission requirements across subsea and offshore environments.
