ELWIND has announced an agreement with Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) to conduct comprehensive water quality research in the designated Estonian offshore wind farm area.
The collaborative effort will span 1.5 years and involve continuous monitoring of water quality indicators across two distinct periods: the non-stratified period and the stratified period. Measurements will be taken in two different water layers.
The primary objective of this autonomous continuous monitoring is to identify key water quality indicators. The data collected will serve as crucial input for two main purposes: determining the current state of the aquatic environment and facilitating future modeling of water quality changes to assess potential impacts stemming from the offshore wind farm development.
