The Deep SeapHOx™ V2 from Sea-Bird Scientific is a moored ocean monitoring system that combines the Deep SeaFET™ V2 pH sensor with the SBE 37-SMP-ODO MicroCAT CTD+DO sensor. It measures pH, temperature, salinity, pressure, and dissolved oxygen in a single, integrated package designed for long-term deployments down to 2000 meters.
The system includes a solid-state ISFET pH sensor, an internal pump, and anti-fouling flow path protection to reduce maintenance and support extended deployments in high-biofouling environments. It supports internal batteries or external power, with RS-232 communication, onboard memory for autonomous logging, and optional telemetry for real-time data.
With deployment durations exceeding one year, the Deep SeapHOx V2 is commonly used for ocean acidification studies, deoxygenation monitoring, and long-term ecosystem observation in both coastal and deep-sea settings.
