The SCIO Brick® offers industry-leading energy density in a compact and lightweight footprint, making the system ideal for space-constrained vessels. The modular and scalable architecture allows multiple bricks to be combined together in parallel and arranged flexibly, allowing optimal use of the available geometry. Each brick can be individually replaced, allowing rapid deployment and easy plug-and play repair.

The standard 48V unit is available in 2.5 or 5.0 kWh capacities. The SCIO Brick® platform can be tailored to your exact energy requirements, and is scalable to provide solutions for small platforms and up into the megawatt range.

Thanks to this modular construction, large-scale power systems for maritime infrastructure can be easily integrated with minimal requirements at the installation site. They can be simply moved into place using a pallet truck or other suitable vehicle, and linked to the existing power grid and energy management system.
Safety-first design with unparalleled fire propagation prevention
Designed from the ground up with a multi-level safety architecture, the SCIO Brick® incorporates an advanced BMS that utilizes cell-level monitoring and real-time diagnostic information to detect early warning signs of failure. This prevents dangerous incidents at sea or in busy ports, and allows operators to take action before critical temperatures are reached.
Each unit is equipped with an integrated thermal runaway shield that effectively prevents fire propagation between cells. This capability has been rigorously tested and designed to exceed standard industry safety benchmarks, allowing us to provide high-energy Li-NMC packs that exhibit the reliability of LFP solutions.

Sustainable usage with data-driven development
Sustainability is at the heart of the SCIO Brick® design concept, and we utilize data-driven tracking of usage history and battery health to enable efficient recycling of battery units and provide them with a second-life capability. This data is also thoroughly analyzed to allow us to continually improve the performance and lifecycle of our products and provide more accurate predictive maintenance.
