DataXplorer™ METOC
DataXplorer™ METOC is an ultra-reliable and sustainable uncrewed vessel solution designed to undertake demanding meteorological and oceanographic data collection for applications such as climate science research, hurricane detection, weather modelling, and offshore energy development.
The solar-powered, zero-emissions USV features a patented self-righting system for quick recovery, a shallow draft, and a robust keel design, and can undertake near-silent data collection missions for up to weeks at a time without disturbing marine environments. The rugged platform can operate during storms and high sea states in conditions of up to Beaufort 8.
The USV comes equipped as standard with a variety of sensors and payloads, including:

- Airmar Triducer DST810 through-hull transducer

- Optional 1x LWIR FLIR Boson 640, 32° FOV (forward facing)
