Marine-Grade GNSS Receivers & Antennas

The marine-certified MarinePak7 GNSS receiver utilizes our proprietary deeply-coupled SPAN GNSS+INS technology to provide assured positioning and robust and reliable velocity, attitude and heave measurements for nearshore operations. Our unique algorithms leverage inertial data to further refine satellite positioning, enabling rapid reacquisition of GNSS in the event of signal outages.

MarinePak7 GNSS receiver with SPAN GNSS+INS technologyBuilt to withstand harsh marine environments, the multi-constellation and multi-frequency receiver supports Oceanix Correction Services as well as MSK Beacon corrections for safe navigation. It can be powered via an internal battery, and can also be equipped with an external removable battery for a truly portable solution that can continue operating through power outages.

Our marine-grade GPS-713 antennas offer high-precision multi-constellation and multi-frequency GNSS tracking, providing choke ring functionality without the additional size and weight. Providing enhanced Inmarsat interference rejection, they are ideal for installation in the presence of high-powered Inmarsat transmitters typically found on marine vessels.

The rugged antennas are housed in a durable waterproof enclosure, and are designed to MIL-STD-810G specifications for vibration, corrosive environments and salt fog, as well as IEC 60945 specifications for maritime navigation equipment.

Both the GPS-713-GGG-N and GPS-713-GGGL-N models receive L1/L2/L5 GPS, L1/L2/L3 GLONASS, B1/B2a/B2b/B2l BeiDou and E1/E5a/b Galileo frequencies. The GPS-713-GGGL-N also supports L-Band from 1525 to 1560 MHz.

GPS Anti-Jamming Antennas

Our GAJT (GPS Anti-Jam Technology) mitigates the effects of interference and the growing threat of jamming and spoofing attacks at sea. By creating nulls in the antenna gain pattern in the direction of jammers and sources of intentional and unintentional interference, it protects both civilian and military vessels, crew and cargo.

The GAJT-410MS antenna leverages this technology to provide dynamic protection of M-Code signals as well as GPS L1 and L2, Galileo E1, QZSS L1 and L2 and SBAS L1. Built-in adaptive digital null-forming algorithms identify interference and jamming signals, adjusting the gain on reliable satellite signals to maintain PNT. Powerful direction-finding capabilities enable you to identify and locate the source of jamming signals, and optimize awareness of your RF environment.

The low-SWaP GAJT-410MS is ideal for space-constrained vessels, and features a marine-hardened enclosure for reliable operation in harsh conditions.

GRIT Firmware

GRIT (GNSS Resilience and Integrity Technology) is a comprehensive suite of optional firmware features for NovAtel OEM7 receivers that enables vessel operators to protect position, navigation and timing (PNT) measurements from interference, jamming and spoofing.

GRIT’s capabilities for PNT resiliency and integrity include:

  • GNSS spoofing detection – allows users to build a comprehensive understanding of the RF environment and identify when PNT measurements are at risk
  • GNSS interference toolkit – identify and characterize interference frequencies in the area, and protect systems from both unintentional and malicious interference
  • Time-tagged digitized sampling – time-tagged analogue-to-digital data snapshots allow users to characterize the RF environment and develop custom interference location algorithms

NovAtel Application Suite

The NovAtel Application Suite (NAS) provides a wide range of essential functionality that allows users to maximize the potential of our OEM7 receivers. Applications include:

  • Manage – easily add, group and configure your receivers from a central location, while monitoring all connected devices. Data can be audited in real time, and outputs can be captured for analysis via the Playback application
  • Playback – open your logged data and replay it on an interactive timeline, allowing you to highlight key events and play back at up to 60x speed
  • Convert – load recorded logs and quickly and reliably convert them to a range of output formats
