The YellowScan Navigator bathymetric LiDAR system was recently presented at the Élysée Palace in Paris as part of the 5th edition of the Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France.
Initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron, the exhibition celebrates the excellence and craftsmanship of French manufacturing. Out of more than 2,500 applications, the YellowScan Navigator was one of 123 companies selected by a national panel of experts. The system was showcased on November 15 and 16, 2025, in the “Strategic Sector of Maritime Industries” category, where it was viewed by nearly 9,000 visitors.
In his opening speech, President Macron spoke about the values represented by the event through the diverse creations on display. “As you walk through these aisles, showcasing the best of our craftsmanship and professions, you are experiencing a France that produces, innovates, and shines,” he said. The President also emphasized France’s “industrial vitality” and the connection between “tradition and innovation” that fuels French ingenuity.
During the opening ceremony, YellowScan CEO Tristan Allouis and Michel Assenbaum met with President Macron. Tristan Allouis noted, “Michel Assenbaum and I were delighted to discuss with the President how our product addresses environmental and coastal security challenges.”
The Navigator reflects YellowScan’s commitment to collaborating with French technological partners, incorporating an inertial measurement unit from French manufacturer SBG Systems and other components produced by subcontractors in the Occitanie region.

Delair, a drone manufacturer with whom YellowScan is developing a joint solution, was also present at the exhibition. The Navigator was displayed mounted on the Hexadrone Tundra 2, a 100% French combination operationally used in Europe for coastal mapping missions. Hexadrone was also honored at the exhibition, as the Tundra 2, equipped with a YellowScan LiDAR system, was previously showcased at the Élysée Palace in 2023.
YellowScan has successfully captured significant market share in the international topography and bathymetry market in countries such as Japan and the United States, positioning itself as a global leader in drone-based LiDAR solutions. The company attributes this global influence to the excellence of available skills and the national network of companies.
The company focuses on a simplified user experience through optimized ergonomics for both LiDAR systems and digital applications. This outcome is a result of the ingenuity of its designers, developers, and engineers, with the instruments built for durability and enhanced productivity. YellowScan stated its presence at the exhibition honors its commitment to innovation and quality and contributes to the global reputation of “Made in France” in the high-technology field.
