Sirius Signal has released the MK-1001 marine safety kit, a new all-in-one emergency solution designed to centralize critical safety equipment for boaters.

The kit is housed within a buoyant case measuring 15 by 11.5 by 6 inches, engineered with a watertight seal and a pressure release valve to ensure durability in marine environments. The interior features custom foam inserts with specific cutouts for each component, ensuring equipment remains secure and organized. The case design also includes a top-mounted annual maintenance decal and additional space for users to store personal items unique to their specific vessel requirements.

At the core of the MK-1001 is the Sirius Signal model C-1003 SOS electronic Visual Distress Signal Device (eVDSD). This nighttime safety device is complemented by an approved daytime signal, a high-performance rechargeable LED utility light capable of white and red flashing functions, a signal horn, and a whistle. For maintenance and medical needs, the kit also includes a stainless steel marine multitool and a first aid kit.

Steven Caldero, Sirius Signal Vice President of Sales, said, “We saw great interest in our choice to develop a kit with these marine safety items. The robust sales of our three-liter dry bag kit launched in 2023 really parted the seas for our launch decision.”

Anthony Covelli, Sirius Signal CEO, added, “Boaters like having essential safety items well organized and at the ready. This kit fits the bill nicely and makes them safer on the water.”
