Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs)

Oceanscience unmanned surface vehicle systems provide configurable remote platforms for nearshore surveying and data acquisition. The Z-Boat 1800 configuration supports integration of survey-grade echosounders selected for autonomous deployment, while supporting options such as Tritech StarFish side scan sonar for high-resolution seabed imaging. Designed for hydrographic and land-based survey workflows, the system is intended for environments where direct vessel access is limited or operational conditions reduce safety margins, enabling remote data collection from controlled launch points.

Q-Boat platforms extend the same operational concept into environmental monitoring and instrument deployment tasks, supporting payloads such as acoustic Doppler current profilers, water quality sensors, and echo sounding equipment in inland and coastal waters. With GPS positioning and radio telemetry options, these vessels can form part of a connected survey setup for real-time data transfer. Their remote operation reduces the need for personnel exposure in fast-flowing rivers, flood zones, or constrained access areas, allowing survey planning to prioritize measurement quality rather than site accessibility.
