Gavia AUVs

The Gavia Platform is a compact, expeditionary autonomous underwater vehicle designed for multi-mission operations with a focus on low logistical demand and field adaptability. It supports deployment from vessels of opportunity and is configured for operations that can be managed by small teams, including two-person handling for transport and launch. With a depth capability reaching up to 1000 meters and a modular architecture, the system is built to be reconfigured in the field, including interchangeable payload sections and swappable battery modules to adjust endurance and mission scope.

Sensor integration spans a wide range of survey and defense payloads, including synthetic aperture sonar, sub-bottom profiling, multibeam and sidescan sonar, and additional custom instrumentation. Navigation performance is enhanced through high-accuracy positioning with optional USBL aiding, while over-the-horizon connectivity is supported via Iridium communications. The platform also enables operations without peripheral installation or calibration requirements, and has been adopted across multiple NATO and NATO-aligned naval users for varied underwater mission profiles.
