Apus-MX UAV LiDAR

The Apus‑MX UAV LiDAR is an aerial remote sensing instrument optimized for high-precision surveying in vegetated and built environments. Engineered for integration with lightweight unmanned aerial systems, the system consolidates a long-range laser scanner, a high-stability inertial measurement unit (IMU), and a 45 MP orthographic RGB camera. This configuration allows for efficient generation of dense point clouds and orthorectified imagery suitable for digital elevation modeling and structural analysis.

The payload supports a field of view of 80 degrees and a maximum ranging distance of 1,200 meters, enabling higher-altitude flight profiles for increased ground coverage per sortie. Multi-return capability (up to 8 returns per pulse) enhances ground detection under canopy and in cluttered environments. Data integrity is maintained through the embedded IMU, and post-mission processing is supported via software that automates strip alignment, colorization, and point cloud generation. The system is suitable for operations in forestry, infrastructure inspection, heritage documentation, and terrain modeling.
