WatchKeeper™ MetOcean Buoy
The WatchKeeper™ MetOcean Buoy is a lightweight fully solar-powered environmental monitoring platform that can be rapidly deployed in a variety of oceanic environments to provide real-time wave and weather information. It is available in 1.7m and 2.6m diameter options, and can be provided with inverse catenary, chain, semi-taut, or false bottom moorings.
The versatile and rugged buoy is capable of multi-year operations and can be equipped with a wide variety of sensors, including wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, wave height, GPS, CTD and more. A number of telemetry options are available, including Inmarsat or Iridium SATCOM, GPRS/HSPA, CDMA/EVDO, and UHF/VHF radio.
